Eddy Gordon Donahue

Eddy Gordon Donahue, 86, of Midland GA passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown.

The family will receive friends for a visitation 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus , GA 31907.

Eddy was born July 5, 1938 in Columbus, GA to the late Alice Lucile McGuffey and Gordon Donahue. After high school, Eddy joined the U.S. Navy where he served as a Radar Electronics Technician. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he utilized his military benefits to help him achieve his dream of becoming a pilot. Eddy accomplished that goal and then some; he was the personal pilot for the CEO of White Lodging (Marriot Hotels) where he was able to travel to many local and foreign locations. His wife, Raida “Teddy” Donahue, would patiently await his return from traveling knowing he would bring back gifts for her from where he had visited. On his rare off days, Eddy enjoyed playing golf.

Other than his parents, Eddy is predeceased by his beloved son, Bradley Steven Donahue.

Eddy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Teddy Donahue of Midland, GA; brother, Pat Donahue (Susan) of Morganfield, KY and many nieces and nephews.
