Eddie Lee Stokes, 88, of Columbus, GA died Monday, December 5, 2022 in Montgomery, AL
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2022 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Eddie was born August 13, 1934 in Columbus, GA to the late Ansell Stokes and Gladys B. Stokes. He served in the Air Force for 21 years and was a self-employed cook in food services. He loved to cook, play softball and pool. He was a member of American Legion, VFW, Eagle and Moose and was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Stokes of Columbus, GA, step-sons, Roger Waring of Vacaville, CA, Randy Lynn Sr. of Columbus, GA, brother, Ronnie Stokes of Columbus, GA, sister, Betty Carlisle of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Cristy Kudsk of CA, Candice Contreras of Las Vegas, NV, Becky Caldwell of FL, Lamar Lynn of Columbus, GA, great-grandchildren, Danielle, Tabatha, Michael, Samantha, Elias, Noah, Darren and Lily.
