Eddie Benson Frost, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 6, 2023, in Columbus, Georgia, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on July 16, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia, Eddie lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Eddie was a man of many talents and worked as a Boiler Maker, Welder, Water Tank Builder, and Truck Driver throughout his life. His dedication to his craft was evident in the quality of his work and the respect he garnered from his peers. He was known for his gentle nature, often sharing his wisdom and experience with others to help them grow in their own pursuits.

In his leisure time, Eddie was a man of diverse interests, each of which he approached with great enthusiasm and passion. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping with his beloved wife Penny, and their cherished grandchildren. Eddie's love for the great outdoors was matched only by his love for his family, and the memories created during these excursions will live on in the hearts of those who accompanied him.

Eddie's love for two-wheeled adventures was evident in his passion for motorcycle riding, a pastime that allowed him to explore the open road and take in the beauty of the world around him. He was also a skilled marksman who enjoyed shooting and collecting guns, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction.

A true connoisseur of the arts, Eddie was a fan of western films, finding solace and inspiration in the tales of heroes and villains that unfolded on the silver screen. He was a man of great humor, with a wit as sharp as a rapier, and a heart as tender as a sonnet. His laughter could light up a room, and his gentle presence could soothe even the most troubled soul.

Eddie’s home cooking was loved by his family.  The love he poured into each dish was a testament to his generous spirit, time spent teaching his children and grandchildren how to cook his recipes will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to partake in them.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Penny Frost; his son, Jeremy Frost, and daughter-in-law, Rachel Frost; his daughter, Amber Amburn, and son-in-law, Joe Amburn; his beloved grandchildren, Jasmine Garrison, Allie Frost, Harley Frost, Leland Amburn, Shelby Amburn, Raena Frost, and his great granddaughter Cj Deblase; his sister, Debra Moss, and brother-in-law, Mike Moss; his brother, Danny Frost, and sister-in-law, Kim Frost; his brother, Mike Frost; his sister-in-law, Billie Frost and countless nieces and nephews. Each of these individuals held a special place in Eddie's heart, and their love for him was an unwavering testament to the incredible man that he was.

In the words of the great bard, William Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts." Eddie Benson Frost played his parts with grace, humor, and love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we bid farewell to Eddie, let us remember him not with tears of sorrow, but with the joy and laughter that he brought to our lives. For in the immortal words of Shakespeare, "When he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun."

Rest in peace, Eddie Benson Frost, for your memory shall live on in the hearts of those who loved you, and your spirit shall continue to inspire us, as we strive to emulate your kindness, your laughter, and your love.
