E. Chester Watts 95 of Columbus, Georgia died Saturday, June 05, 2021 at Thrive at Green Island.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia
Mr. Watts was born October 13, 1925 in Whitesville, NC. son of the late El Chester Watts and Nell Phillips Watts. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Mr. Watts began a railroad carrier in 1946 with Atlantic Coastline Railroad and retired in 1985 after 39 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Holmes Watts, two sons David Chester Watts and wife Kim of Atlanta, Georgia, Mitchell Holmes Watts and wife Tammy of Columbus, Georgia; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
