Dorothy June Lamont Douglas passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 100.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ft. Moore Main Post Cemetery in Ft. Moore, GA according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Dorothy was born on June 26, 1923 in Staten Island, New York daughter of the late Lillian Dangler Lamont and Thomas William Lamont.She married Robert C. Lewis in August of 1942 and was widowed in 1951. She married Francis Hugh Douglas on July 25, 1952.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert C. Lewis and Francis Hugh Douglas.
She is survived by her son, Mark Douglas (Carrie) of San Antonio, TX, daughter Caroline Matheson (Joe) of Columbus, GA, brother, Richard Lamont of Fredricksburg, VA, grandchildren, David Matheson, Melissa Matheson, Andrew Douglas, Diana Shaw, Brandi Parson and 7 great grand-children.
