Dorothy C. Watson, 87, of Columbus, GA died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Johnson officiating. There will be a private interment in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA. 31907.
Mrs. Watson was born November 2, 1926 in Blakely, GA, daughter of the late Buck Holley and Louise Carter. She retired as an investigator with Department of Family and Children's Services. She was a member of Edgewood Church of Christ. She was a devout Christian, a faithful wife and a kind friend.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Watson, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Fred Watson III "Trey" of Columbus, GA; daughter Susan Jones (Carl) of Casper, WY; grandchildren, James Haga, III and Andrew Haga; brother, Jimmy Holley (Mary Lou) of Blountstown, FL; and many faithful friends and neighbors.
