Dorothy Baker Stone, 90, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Geoff Hammond officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Stone was born March 18, 1922 in Huntsville, AL daughter of the late James W. and Grace Stevens Baker. She worked as a weaver for Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Stone, daughters, Jean Stone Hughes and Melinda Stone, son, James Richard Stone, grandson, Joey Hughes, and sisters and brothers, Sara Fretwell, Geneva Smith, Fay Barrington, Mike Baker and Donald Baker.
