Dorothy Louise Miller Sparks, 93, of Columbus, GA, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Muscogee Manor. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with Rev. Tommy Henschel officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Mrs. Sparks was born February 04, 1926 in Taunton, MA, daughter of the late Arthur C. Miller and Eva E. Norcutt Miller. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and a Boston Red Sox fan.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James W. Sparks, three sons; James R. Sparks, David A. Sparks, Jack Sparks.
Survivors include her daughter; Sandra Key of Midland, GA; son, Thomas C. Sparks; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
