Dorothy Kathryn (Andrae) Harnish

Dorothy Kathryn Andrae Harnish, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

A memorial service will be held, 12:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 6795 Whitesville Rd. Columbus, GA 31904.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Dorothy was born in the village of Melrose Park, Illinois to Raymond F. Andrae and Ruth Ottilia Sieloff Andrae.  She worked a long career as a bookkeeper and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.  She was passionate about sending cards to show her love to her family and friends, remembering the special occasions, birthdays and anniversaries of her large family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Edwin “Skip” B. Harnish, Jr,  three daughters: Lynn (Carl) Dunkin, Christine (Greg) Strand and Lisa Thompson(Greg Palmer), five grandchildren: Leslie (Michael) Dearman, Kayla (Patrick) Wolstencroft, Jacob (Emeri) Kinnamon, Faith Lingle, and Noah Strand, 7 great grandchildren: Ellison, Laine, Seth, Koen, Issac, Emmet and Weston, one sister Emalee (Dean) White, one sister-in-law Patsy Andrae, three brothers: Don (Diane) Andrae, Rich (Cheryl) Andrae, Jeff (Rita) Andrae.  She was preceded in death by her two brothers Raymond Andrae and Bruce Andrae.  Dorothy is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews:  Raymond (Christine) Andrae, Justin, Gary (Melissa) Andrae, Alan, Amy(Zach) Pizzey, Quint Andrae, Vance Andrae, Chad (Molly) Andrae, Luke and Mollie Sue, Todd (Lauryl) Andrae, Joseph, Eric(Jennifer) Andrae, Tyler, Ian Andrae, Mason, Ian, Rachel(David) Hornbeck, Brian(Tammy) White, Madison, Briana, Trent White, Courtney Andrae, Garrett Andrae, Sarah(Stephanie) Pollock, Maya, Brandon(Brittany) Andrae, Reid.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ruth O. Andrae Scholarship Fund to benefit Women’s basketball at Columbus State University, Attn: University Advancement, 4225 University Ave, Columbus, Ga 31907-5645.
