Dorothy V. Creel Hagler, 93, of Phenix City, AL, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM EST, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Curtis Rich officiating. An Interment will be held in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM CST, 336 County Road 23 Ariton, AL 36311. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hagler was born March 14, 1920, daughter of the late Allen Creel and Brigette Ann Watford Creel. She was a member of Cottonton Baptist Church in Pittsview, AL.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Andy L. Hagler and her son; Mal Leon Hagler.
Survivors include daughters; Shirley M. Renfroe (W.L.), of Pittsview, AL, Nellie K. Newsome (Dan), of Phenix city, AL, Judy G. Hough, of Dothan AL, Shelia D. Dunn (John S.), of Columbus, GA, son; Ted L. Hagler, of Phenix City, AL, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial donations to the Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
