Dorothea M. Hartman, 78, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, May 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1953 Torch Hill Rd. Columbus, GA 31903 with Father George Gonzalez officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemtery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hartman was born November 10, 1931 in Berlin, Germany daughter of the late Max and Martha Klauss Fechner. She worked as a salesperson for Dillards, formerly Gayfers where she retired and she was a Catholic by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur L. Hartman of Columbus, GA, son, Arthur Max Hartman (Debra) of Columbus, GA, daughter, Dorothea Ford (Frank) of Columbus, OH, sister, Gertrude Landry of New York, brother, Harry Fechner of Berlin, Germany, four grandchildren, Michael Hartman (Thecia) of Columbus, GA, Sarah Hartman of Columbus, GA, Clint Ford of Montana and Alethea Reynolds of Columbus, OH, and nine great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1953 Torch Hill Rd. Columbus, GA 31903.
