Doris P. Wade, 86 of Phenix City, AL died Friday, November 1, 2013 at Canterbury Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Wade was born August 15, 1927 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Benjamin F. Odom and Carrie I. Wynn Odom. She had worked at Morrison's Cafeteria. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and the Happy Hearts Club.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Wade.
Survivors include her daughters, Claudia Hylton (George) of Breman, GA and Carolyn McCachren (Raymond) of Phenix City, AL; sons, Larry Hogue (Margaret) of Marietta, GA and Roy D. Moore, Jr. of LasVegas, NV; step daughters, Libby Melton (Larry) of Phenix City, AL, Madge Forgue and Dean Nye (Mike) all of Panama City, FL; brother, Fred Odom of Columbus, GA; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and best friend Emma Fowler.
