Doris A. Grier

Doris A. Grier, 75, of Columbus, GA died Friday, February 5, 2021 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Baxton officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the cemetery. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID- 19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the graveside service and visitation.

Doris was born December 13, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late Prather Beach and Mary Hammond Beach. She was a homemaker and a member of the River City Pentecostals. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her daughters, Jean Amerson, siblings Richard Lee Brazier, Claude Beach, Harry Beach, Glend Lott and George Beach.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Grier of 33 years, children Froney Stegemiller (Carl) of Dawson, GA, Hazel Lott (Steve) of Cusseta, GA, Lawrence Riley, Jr. of Cusseta, GA, Tommy Riley of Mauk, GA, Oscar Riley (Ginny) of Cusseta, GA, son-in-law Wayne Amerson of Columbus, GA, sister Diane Southerland of North Carolina, Fronie Richey of Mark, GA, brother-in-law, James Harold Lott, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
