Doris G. Deaton 85 of Phenix City, AL died Monday, February 25, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 02, 2013 at Ladonia Baptist Church, 3789 U.S. Hwy 80 W, Phenix City, AL with Rev. David Howle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Deaton was born December 10, 1927 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late C. J. Guthrie and Alpha Lee Webster Guthrie. She had worked for 42 years at the State Paper Box Company of GA.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Deaton.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Sanders of Bonifay, FL;son, Larry James Deaton of Phenix City, Al; brother, Huey Guthrie (Ann) of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Dawn Patrick (John) and Kayla Nicole Sanders and great grandchildren Sarah and Rachel Patrick.
