Doris E. Clayton, 87 of Phenix City, AL died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Mrs. Clayton was born July 16, 1924 in Hazleton, PA daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Mills Houseknecht. She was a secretary for Wallace, Seim & Hughes Radiology. She was also a U. S. Army veteran.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Clayton, Jr.; brothers, Charles Houseknecht, Jr. Donal Houseknect and William J. Houseknecht.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Margaret A. Kiefer, Marcella Schott, William Houseknecht, Barbara Kubishin, Alice Detweiler, Carol Creamer, Kim Moser, Ricky Taylor, Paul Taylor and Robin Taylor and numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
