Donnie Wilson Culpepper

Donnie Wilson Culpepper, 96, of Columbus, Georgia died Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Monday, September 9, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jonathan Merritt and Rev. Cole Parker officiating and music by Mark Culpepper. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.

Donnie was born December 21, 1927 in Columbus, GA to the late Charlie Wilson Culpepper and Mattie Lee Cates Culpepper. He retired as a composing room foreman with the Ledger Enquirer after over 40 years.

Other than his parents Donnie is preceded in death by his first wife Rhunette Culpepper, Daughter Jynean Renee Wolf, Brother Charlie Wendell Culpepper.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Parker Culpepper, of Columbus, GA, son, Marcus Wayne Culpepper (Sandra) of Cataula, GA. grandchildren, Sonya Culpepper (Matthew Brashears) of Cataula, GA, David Culpepper (Brandy) of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Tara Williams (Scott) Phenix City, AL, Connie Chasteen (Jim Dusch) Phenix City, AL, great-grandchildren, Gage Dufrene, Jessie Dufrene, Kirstain Brown (Drennen), Abigail Chasteen, Zeth Williams, Cora Williams, Zara Williams, Hunter Brashears, great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt Brown, Sawyer Brown, Delilah Brown, siblings, Daniel Culpepper of Columbus, GA, Lavon Culpepper (Carolyn) of Cataula, GA, Thomas Culpepper of Splendora, TX. Mr. Culpepper is also survived by his stepchildren Keith Parker (Marcia), Dr. Gregory Parker (Tonja) both of Columbus, Ga. and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
