Donnie Courvelle

Donnie Courvelle, 66, of Columbus, GA died Sunday May 19, 2024, peacefully at his residence with his family by his side.

A visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A reception will be held following the service at the home of Jessie and Karen Courvelle, 5628 Sherborne Dr. Columbus, GA 31909.

Donnie was born June 13, 1957 in Bay Town, TX, son of the late Elza Courvelle and Sarah Fears Hinton. He retired as the maintenance supervisor for Circle K where he was able to travel to multiple locations making good friends wherever his position took him. To Donnie, his family was always first and foremost and brought him the most joy that life could provide especially his grandchildren. He was an accomplished player of the guitar and collector and loved music of all kinds. He loved sitting on the front porch with his wife, reading his bible verse every morning, enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid Alabama Football fan. He could fix anything and everything and took pride in his yard and home. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Connie Norris and Mary Lois Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Marie Golden Courvelle of Columbus, GA, son, Jessie Courvelle (Karen) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Landon Courvelle, Adyson Courvelle, Hudson Courvelle and Katie Wright all of Columbus, GA, sister, Virginia Black of TX.
