Donna Lynn, 50, of Columbus, GA died Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence in Columbus, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Tommy Bradford officiating. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, those attending the funeral service will be required to wear a face mask and social distancing will be in effect. Donna Lynn was born January 7, 1970 in Thomson, GA to Ollie and Connie McArthur.
She married her love and best friend, Mark Davis on April 4, 2004 on the sugar white sand beach of Mexico Beach, FL.
In 1996, Donna gave birth to her first born son, Joseph, whom she affectionately named "JoJo". She then has her baby, Dominic, in 1999. When she married Mark, her family was completed with the addition of Jordan and Connor, who she loved as her very own. She is the mother in love to Alexa Anzano (Joseph) and Destinee Davis (Conner) and the Grandmother to Landon James and Harper Rae. She is the sister to Kathy Lee, Barbara Goodpaster and Richard McArthur.
Donna was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ with the Cornerstone Church of God in Columbus, GA.
In her season of sickness, Donna was lovingly cared for by her family, John B. Amos Center and the wonderful staff at Kindred Hospice. She was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She was a gentle spirit that sought comfort for others and gave hope through her Hope Helmets Ministry of hand-made hats for cancer patients and survivors. Despite her sickness, Donna knew true joy when she met her first two grandchildren in 2019 and 2020.
Donna loved the sounds of the ocean and the gentle beach breeze. Blue skies and Butterflies were a few of her favorite things. Her earthly remains will return to those beautiful Sunsets and Sandy white beaches which brought so much joy.
