Donald Lee Walker, 82, of Columbus, GA died Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Walker was born April 26, 1936 in LaGrange, GA son of the late Walter Lee Walker and Claudia Mae Walker. He owned his own real estate company, Don Walker Realty. He was an avid UGA Bulldog fan and enjoyed sailing, golfing, running and watching TV. Mr. Walker was a member of First Baptist Church and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Smith Walker of Columbus, GA, daughters, Kim James and Cyndi Kindrick both of Columbus, GA, son, Donny Walker (Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA, step-sons, Russell Smith (Wendy) of Valley, AL and Stevie Smith of Smiths, AL, sister, Judy Pate of Columbus, GA, 7 grandchildren, Brittany Beltz (David), Tyler James, Susannah Kindrick, Madeline Kindrick, Caleb Walker, Jacob Walker and Ethan Walker, 1 step-grandson, Ryan Smith (Becca), 2 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces.
