Ret. CWO 3 Donald Smart, 80, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, December 20, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held in Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
Mr. Smart was born October 29, 1931, son of the late Carrie and Guy Smart. He was a Retired CWO 3 of 20 years for the U.S. Army having served during the Viet Nam War. He was preceded in the death by his son Norman Smart.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Smart of Columbus, GA; son, Billy Smart of Shelby, NC and a grandchild.
