Donald A. Peterson, 80, Columbus, GA, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Christ Community Church, 4078 Milgen Road Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Mike Hofer Officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Peterson was born August 30, 1936 in Nashville, TN, son of the late Alver Peterson and Mildred Larson Peterson. He was retired salesman, a family man who always had a great story to tell. He enjoyed fixing whatever needed to be fixed.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Denice Reed Peterson.
Survivors include his daughter, Kelley Amon (Bubba) of Columbus, GA; two sons, Wade Peterson (Shanna) of Hamilton, GA and Mike Peterson of Stuart, FL; brother, Warren Peterson (Barbara) of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Ashley Peterson, Elizabeth, Enix (Travis), Jessica Peterson, Ethan Amon, Evan Amon, Kelsey Amon and his dog, Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Preferred Care Hospice, 3 Bradley Park Court C Columbus, GA 31904.
