Diana C. Higgins, 74, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Brad Evangelista officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Higgins was born November 8, 1942 in Horton, AL daughter of the late Charles Kilburn Elrod and Lillian Ballew Elrod Wiggins. She worked as a dental hygienist for the Civil Service and was a member of CrossPointe Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Higgins.
Survivors include her son, Mike Higgins (Robin) of Fortson, GA, daughter, Michele Fagan (Wesley) of Royal Oak, MI, sisters, Jackie Sutton (Loyd) of Callahan, FL, Shelia Mau (Joe) of Cropwell, AL, Tina Lavies and Mickie Wiggins both of Birmingham, AL, brother, Harold Wiggins of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren, Dustin McLemore, Alex Higgins (Cassie) and Tyler Higgins (Sarah), and great grandchild, Aiden Higgins.
