Dharmendra Patel

Dharmendra Patel, affectionately known as "Dhamo" to family and close friends,  passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2024.

A memorial service will take place  at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the chapel of McMullen Funeral  Home and Crematory. Friends and family are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service at the  funeral home located at 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.

Born on October 22, 1982, in Gozaria, India, to Arvindbhai Patel and Jyostanaben  Patel, Dhamo was their first child, later joined by his sister Dimpal and brother  Tejendra. He was known for his mischievous nature as a child and during his  teenage years. He attended Paliyad Saraswati Vidhyalay for high school and  earned his Bachelor's degree in Commerce from PHG Municipal Arts & Science  College Kalol. Later he decided to move to Chicago, USA, where he began his  career in retail and gained experience in the food and lodging industries.

Dhamo always dreamed of starting his own retail venture, a goal he achieved in  LaGrange, Georgia, where he opened his own store. He married his beloved wife,  Vina Patel, and cherished their son, Vraj Patel. Dhamo was preceded in death by his father, Arvindbhai Somabhai Patel. He lived  an extraordinary life on his own terms and will be deeply missed and fondly  remembered by his friends, family, and all whose lives he touched.
