Dennis Wayne Peterson, Sr.

Dennis Wayne Peterson, Sr, 70, of Cataula, GA died Sunday, October 13, 2024 at TerraBella Riverplace. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Dennis was born August 5, 1954 in Richland, GA son of the late Keith and Melba Moore Peterson. Dennis spent many years serving others as a first responder for the city of columbus, he retired in 2007 and then pursued another career in the medical field as a respiratory therapist, where he worked Regional Rehab. Lastly he joined Harris Co school district where he enjoyed driving a school bus.
Other than his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Peterson; and his second wife, Jill Peterson.
Survivors include his children, Dennis Wayne Peterson, Jr. (Jodie) of Buchanan, GA, Lee Peterson (Mandy) of Cataula, GA, Holly Morris (Jon) of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Mackenzie Draper of Cataula, GA, Logan Draper of Cataula, GA, Branton Peterson of Cataula, GA, Kynlea Morris of Phenix City, AL, Leland Morris of Phenix City, AL; siblings, Larry Peterson (Betsy) of Harris County, GA, Bonnie Green (Gary) of Catuala, GA; numerous other family and friends.
