Denise Lynn Bennett, a luminous spirit and devoted warrior of Christ, departed this world on July 9, 2024, after a courageous battle with a respiratory illness.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Denise was born on August 28, 1969, in Columbus, GA, Denise's radiant presence touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.

As a cherished teacher, Denise dedicated her life to inspiring countless individuals, imparting wisdom grounded in truth, integrity, and compassion. Her passion for the arts-encompassing music, dance, and writing- infused joy into the lives of everyone around her. She had a unique ability to find beauty in the simplest moments, whether it was collecting rocks, repurposing discarded items into treasures, or exploring the world alongside her beloved pets, Ziggy and Nemo.

Denise's warm humor, infectious laughter, and zest for life profoundly impacted all who crossed her path. She had a remarkable gift for uplifting others, encouraging them to embrace their potential and pursue their dreams. Her spirit was a beacon of light, guiding those she loved through life's challenges.

She leaves behind a devoted family: her mother Penny, father Edward, sisters Melanie and Shelia, and her cherished sons Brooks and Landon. Denise was not only a loving mother to her boys but also a nurturing figure to many others, embracing all with open arms. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly, serving as a guiding light and source of inspiration for those who carry her memory in their hearts.
