Delphine H. Nixon, 80 of Columbus died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 P.M., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Chaney officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Nixon was born December 26, 1930 in Meigs, Georgia daughter of the late Lawrence Lesley and Ada Josephine Loyd Hurst. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Earnest Cliff Nixon and wife Daniela of Maylene, AL, Malcolm Huvon Nixon of Columbus, GA and Hilton Craig Nixon and wife Bobbi of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Clayton Hurst and wife Helen of West Point, GA, Vernon Hurst and wife Doris of Douglas, GA and Homer Hurst and wife Barbara of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Robin Pruett and husband David, Christy Nixon and Sydney Nixon; great grandchildren, William Jackson Pruett and Kaden Cole Wahlert and several nieces and nephews.
