Dellaree "Memaw" Johnson McDaniel, 91, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Bob Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10:00- 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Dellaree was born October 14, 1924 in Manning, SC the daughter of the late Columbus Jackson Johnson and Oralee Jones Johnson. She was a homemaker and was a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Walton Thomas McDaniel, brothers, Gabriel Johnson and Wilber Johnson, and daughter, Sybil Diane Wesson.
Survivors include her daughter, Vivian Mulkey of Columbus, GA, brother, Charles E. Johnson of Rantoul, IL, grandchildren, Larry "Lee" Roberts, Jr. of Columbus, GA, Anjila (Tony) McCool of Columbus, GA and Charity MacDonald (Kirk) of Groton, MA, great grandchildren, Chamberlain MacDonald, Faith MacDonald, Hope MacDonald and Abbygail McCool, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Shriners Children Hospital 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
