Mrs. Debran Sawyers Amerson, 68 of Columbus, GA., died Monday, May 4, 2020, at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center. Due to circumstances surrounding the COVID 19 outbreak, the family will have a private memorial service Saturday May 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Judy Hay will officiate.
A native of Columbus, GA., Mrs. Amerson was born June 25, 1951, daughter of the late Howard Sawyers and Annie Pearl Alford Sawyers. She was in customer service and a former long distance operator with AT&T, formerly Bellsouth. She was also a tax consultant with H & R Block.
She is survived by her Husband Jeff Amerson of Columbus, GA., daughters, Jennifer Amerson Toole, Fortson, GA., Shelly Edwards, (Joseph), Columbus, GA. and Melissa Amerson, of Florida, brothers, Wesley Sawyers, Columbus, GA., Mike Sawyers of Georgia and Gary Sawyers of Georgia. Grandchildren, Caleb Edwards, Columbus, GA, Megan Toole and Zachary Toole of Fortson, GA.
