De Van Nguyen, 72 of Columbus, GA., passed away peacefully at his residence on May 23, 2020. A private funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020.
De Van was born March 13, 1948 in the village of Nhi Long of Tra Vinh, Vietnam to Nguyen Van Van and Nguyen Thi Hue, both preceding him in death.
He was a Captain Fighter Pilot in the South Vietnam Airforce Military. He came to the United States of America in 1975, where he studied to become an electrician and a U.S. citizen. He started working for Alabama Electric Company in 1987 and stayed for many years. He then moved to Ritch Electric Company, where he then retired from in 2020.
De Van leaves behind his beloved wife Huong T. Bolen of Columbus, GA., a son Duy Duc Huynh Nguyen of Vietnam, his daughter Diem Ngoc Huynh Nguyen, Vietnam, step daughters Vida Crawford and Yolanda Bolen both of Columbus, GA. ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives.
