David Anthony Stola, 68, of Columbus, Died Thursday March 12, 2015 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Monday March 16, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA, with Mr. Donald R. Wells officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Stola was born August 21, 1946 in Manhattan, New York City, NY to the late Anthony John Stola and Mary Lillian Harmon Strathearn. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and later joined the reserves. Mr. Stola retired as Director of Special Education with the Muscogee County School District and was later the Adjunct Instructor at Columbus State University College of Education.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Stola of Columbus, GA, daughter, Sara Elizabeth Davenport (R. Jason) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Wren Davenport and Camille Davenport, sisters, Mary Rigdon (Tom) of New Kirk, OK, Carmella McMahon (Tom) of West Harrison, NY, and Suzanne Steiner of Yonkers, NY, and a brother, Salvatore Molluzzo of Pelham, NY.
