David M. Stickney, 50, of Fortson, GA. died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his residence.
A tribute of his life will be held 3-6 PM Saturday April 12, 2014 at Real Church of Kings Pasture, 13377 US Highway 27 Hamilton, GA 31811 according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. 31907.
David was born in Detroit, MI the son of John and Bonnie Whalen Stickney of Lapeer, MI.
David was a successful business owner in Columbus, GA who touched the lives of so many people with spiritual guidance, direct advice and his humor. He loved the unlovely and encouraged the meek.
Other than his parents he is survived by his wife and best friend of 26 years Denise Hampton Stickney of Fortson, GA and was the proudest father of Christopher and Travis Stickney of Fortson, GA. Other survivors include his seven siblings Lynn Skidmore of NC, Gail Miller, Hal Stickney, Lee Stickney, Chuck Stickney, John Stickney and Scott Stickney all of MI.
David would want you to know that he is happy that he made it to his permanent home.
