David L. Sheffer, 61, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Hamilton House Nursing Home.
The family will receive friends 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the family's residence 4916 Teak Dr. Columbus, GA 31909 according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Sheffer was born December 5, 1948 in Utica, NY son of the late Leonard and Susan Benton Sheffer. He worked with AAFES for 27 years retiring in 2007. He enjoyed his friends, his computer, and his music. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Sheffer.
Survivors include his wife, Joice Sheffer of Columbus, GA, sons, David Lloyd Sheffer, II (Tifani) of Columbus, GA, Patrick Steven Sheffer of Columbus, GA and James Benton Sheffer of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Camron Blake Sheffer and David Lloyd Sheffer, III, sister, Susan Sheffer of New York, and brothers, Steve Sheffer of New Hampshire, John Sheffer of Maryland, and Andy Sheffer of New York.
