David Roy Revell

David Roy Revell, 76, of Columbus, Georgia died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Friday, October 29, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Rev. Andy Johnston/Associate Pastor, Edgewood Baptist Church.

David was born May 2, 1945 in Columbus, GA son to the late Carol Simmons Revell and Roy B. Revell. David played many sports including basketball, baseball, bowling, ping pong and especially golf which he played weekly. David enjoyed the beach, ballroom dancing, and traveling. He was a graduate of Columbus High School and an Alumni of the University of Georgia. He also spent time in the National Guard. He was a salesman for Paramount and American Greetings Card Company for many years until he retired. He was an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lee Revell of Hazlehurst, GA, his children and their families: Lacey Revell Ragan and her daughters Lily Ragan and Stella Ragan of Fortson, GA. Anna Revell Walden and son in law Gregory Benjamin Walden and two sons Eli Walden and Mason Walden of Fortson, GA. and the late mother of his children Rebecca Ann Watford Revell. Cindy Johnson and Derek Johnson and their son Dallas Johnson of Hazlehurst and Scott Powell and daughter Kansas Powell of Hazlehurst, GA; Brother Douglas Revell and wife Suzy Revell and their children Chris Revell  and wife Sally Revell and their children of Marietta, GA. and Carson and wife Mandy Revell and their children of Columbus, GA.
