David Curenton, 73, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Barbara Starling officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Curenton was born March 9, 1945 in Enterprise, AL son of the late Abner Lillton Curenton and Sallie Eugenia Ingram Curenton. He worked in construction and along with his wife, was the former owner of Chicken Comer's BBQ. Mr. Curenton was also a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God. He lived life to its fullest and enjoyed live country music.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Dale Morsie; brothers, Joe Curenton, Herbert Curenton and Aaron Curenton and two sisters, Valota Driggers and Rebecca Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn West Curenton of Columbus, GA; son, Jerome Curenton (Andrea) of CA; brother, Jack Curenton of Columbus, GA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
