Danny Lynn Vestal

Danny Lynn Vestal of Waverly Hall, Georgia was called home to Heaven on October 6, 2024.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Evangel Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Oakhill Cemetery in Waverly Hall, GA.

Danny was born on April 12, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, Danny was a beloved figure in his community. He brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him. Danny’s life was a testament to his unwavering Christian faith and his deep relationship with Jesus. These values guided him in all his endeavors and brought him great comfort and joy. Danny used his faith to bring encouragement to cancer patients, offering them hope and strength during their difficult journeys. Known by many names, some of Danny’s most cherished were husband, dad and Grandaddy. He committed his life to instill values of faith, work ethic and devotion in his children and grandchildren. He shared a common bond with both grandchildren through leadership in the National FFA Organization. Whether playing or watching, Danny was an avid sportsman. He was a spirited Tennessee Volunteer fan as well as a loyal St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Danny also enjoyed the outdoors, spending much time hunting, fishing and gardening, activities that brought him closer to nature and provided treasured memories with family and friends. Danny built a fulfilling career in the HVAC industry, a trade where he was well-respected for his expertise and dedication. He was often known as “Dan the Trane Man”.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; son, Justin of Dyersburg, TN; daughter, Jessica(Jamie) of Ellerslie, GA; grandchildren, Addie and Brooks; sister, Corinne of Dyersburg, TN; and his mother, Eva Fay of Dyersburg, TN; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Evon Vestal. Services to honor Danny’s life will be held on Sunday, October 13, at Evangel Church, 5350 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. McMullen Funeral Home of Columbus, Georgia is assisting the family during this time.
