Danny Lamar Gibson, 72, of Manchester, GA died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Columbus Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Danny was born July 31, 1949 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Ambrose Gibson and Edna Parmer Gibson. He retired from working at Georgia Power after 32 years, worked for Animal Control in Manchester, Georgia, coached Little League Baseball and umpired in Cataula, GA. Danny loved to fish, eat, work, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Vera Beth Gibson of Manchester, GA, son, Christopher “Big Chris” Wayne Gibson of Manchester, GA, grandchildren, Emerald “Emmy” Savannah Douglas (Joshua) of McKinney, TX, Jade Sierra Gibson of Manchester, GA, Hunter Daniel Gibson (fiancé Becca) of Anna, TX, one great grandchild Charlie Elizabeth Gibson, one on the way and several other family members.
