Danny Lloyd Beck, 64, of Midland, GA died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial service will be held at Midland United Methodist Church on Friday December 27, 2013 at 3 pm, 9100 Warm Springs Road, Midland, GA 31820 with Reverend Stephen Brinkman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. 31907.
Mr. Beck was born February 12, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND, son of the late Lloyd Beck and Iris Glad Beck of Battle Lake, MN. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching all of his children and grandchildren play all sports.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Myrna and his children Shanna (Wade) Peterson, Nicole (John) Layfield, and Dan Ross Beck. Dan is loved and will be missed by his grandchildren Ashley, Lizzy, John, Alexandra, Jessica, Jarrett, and Gage. He has left a lasting memory on his brothers, Rick and Randy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909 or the Columbus High School Baseball Team, 1700 Cherokee Avenue, Columbus, GA 31903.
