Danielle Dawn Dowie, 22, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Dowie was born April 3, 1992 in Marietta, GA, daughter of Derek Drew Dowie and Cheryl McKee Dowie. She was a Christian by faith. She was a loving, dedicated daughter and mother. She loved her cat, Romeo, and dog, Sophie. She battled lifelong health issues and showed great courage throughout it all. She really loved all her friends, especially Sarah and Tuesday ("Fifteen").
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James McKee and Donald and Margaret Dowie, and cousins, Brandon Mailman and Christy Moore.
Survivors include her parents, Cheryl Dowie and Derek Dowie (Rose); daughter, Kaylee Summer Dowie; maternal grandparents, Helen and Lawrence Frost; step-sisters, Leigh Anna and Kayla Preston; step-brother, Zach Preston; aunts, Mary McKee Cannon (Marshall), Donna Richey, Jean Pritchard (Jack), and Denise Mailman (Peter); uncles, Donald D. Dowie, Jr. (Melanie), David D. Dowie (Rhonda), and Dale D. Dowie; Big Sis Kristin Cannon; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Donation Account for Kaylee Summer Dowie at any local Wells Fargo branch.
