Col. Daniel J. Quinlan (Ret) , 85, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Columbus Hospice Midtown West.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Chaplain Wayne Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends following the services according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Col. Quinlan (Ret) was born February 16, 1929 in Bronx New York, New York, son of the late John Quinlan and Mabel English Quinlan. He honorably served 33 years in the U. S. Navy, U. S. Marines and U.S. Army, retiring with the U. S. Army. Col. Quinlan (Ret) was Catholic by faith and was a life member of the Elks Lodge #111, VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife Sandi W. Quinlan; a son, Bill Quinlan (Tammie) of Hawaii; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Webb (Russell) of Ormond Beach, FL and Randi Gentry (Denny) of Smiths, AL; stepson, Ronnie Murray (Sandy) of Phenix City, AL; thirteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
