Daniel R. James, 55, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Alan Frandson officiating. The family will receive friends after the service according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. James was born March 3, 1956 in Frankfurt, Germany son of the late Cecil R. and Billie Jackson James. He worked at Columbus Communications as an electronic technician for 19 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Reese Rd.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David James.
Survivors include his former spouse, Teresa Quitugua (Mike) of Beauregard, AL, three daughters, Arwen D. Storey (Jason) of Maylene, AL, Stefanie N. Woodie (Jacob) of Ft. Riley, KS and Tanya Marie Anderson (David) of Ft. Lewis, WA, son, Christopher Robin James of Columbus, GA, sisters, Nora Richardson of Dothan, AL and Patty Southard (Steve) of Jesup, GA, brother, Doug James (Winona) of Columbus, GA, sister-in-law, Marta James of Chattanooga, TN, and seven grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Judeâ
