Daniel L. Culpepper, Sr.

Daniel L. Culpepper, Sr., 95, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2025 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Jonathan Merritt officiating. A private entombment will be held at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Culpepper was born November 18, 1929 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Charlie W. and Mattie Lee Cates Culpepper. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He retired after 31 years as the Director of Public Works and Warden MCCI. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and a member of the Peace Officers Association of Columbus.

Other than his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Bone Culpepper, his brothers, Donnie Culpepper, Wendell Culpepper.

Survivors include his son, Daniel L. Culpepper, Jr (Debra Woodruff) of Columbus, GA; granddaughters, Carli D. Culpepper, Chelsea B. Culpepper, Christina Mayben, Hannah Herring; brothers,  Lavon Culpepper of Columbus, GA, and Thomas Culpepper of Splendora, TX; great-grandchildren Joseph Culpepper and Ravi Culpepper

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, 3564 Forrest Rd, Columbus, GA 31907.
