Dan Wesley Robinson, Sr.

Midland, GA -- Dan Wesley Robinson, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 26, 2021. He is greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Dan was born on April 16, 1937 in Box Springs, Georgia. He was a graduate of Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia and attended Auburn University. He was married to the love of his life, Evelyn B. Robinson, for 61 years, and together they had three children. He worked for The Gas Light Company and owned J.B. Robinson and Son, Inc., a grading and clearing construction company in Columbus, Georgia.

Dan loved the Lord and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He was a long-time member of Edgewood Baptist Church and later, Morningside Baptist Church, both in Columbus, Georgia. He served as a deacon and on various committees for both churches.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn B. Robinson, his daughter, Deanna Evelyn Robinson, his father, Johnnie B. Robinson, and his mother, Ruby Cook Robinson.

He is survived by his two sons, Dan Wesley Robinson, Jr. MD (Denise) of Greenwood, South Carolina, Mark Stephen Robinson (Angela) of Upatoi, Georgia, four granddaughters, Jessica Leigh Robinson, Katey Melissa Robinfield (Jeremiah), Alexis Brooke Robinson, Julie Elizabeth Robinson, one grandson, Dan Wesley Robinson III, two sisters, Lavern Taff and Annette Taff, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 am, also at McMullen Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Parkhill Cemetery.  Elder Butch Wheeler will officiate.
