Dan Edward Alexander, Sr., 73, of Wewahitchka, FL died Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Alexander was born June 11, 1946 in Columbus, GA son of the late Harvey Arnold Alexander, Sr. and Mary Jenkins Alexander. He retired from the American Red Cross working in Blood Services. In his early years, he worked as a Printer and then a Paramedic in Talbot County. Mr. Alexander loved to hunt, fish, drink beer, working cattle, being a jokester and being with his family. He also was an avid Alabama fan.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Leah Alexander and brother, Harvey Arnold Alexander, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mable Hare Alexander of Wewahitchka, FL, daughter, Amy Roberts (Shawn Grow) of Gulf Shores, AL, son, Dan Edward Alexander, Jr. (Toni D.) of Wewahitchka, FL, sisters, Debbie Collins (Ronnie Harrison) of Fortson, GA and Shirley Skeen of Moultrie, GA, brothers, Joseph Michael Alexander (Rhonda) of Cottonwood, AL and Ritchie Alexander (Rebecca) of Mt. Juliet, TN, grandchildren, Alexa Brook Roberts, Jason Wright, Brook Vickers (Leroy) and Jennifer Wright (Patrick Gates), and great-grandchildren, Chase and Tyler Wright, Jimmy, Trevor and Jada Vickers, and Johonna Tran and Paislynn Gates, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice 107 19th St. Panama City, FL 32405.
