Dalton Walsingham, 90, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Panama City, FL, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roger Morrison officiaiting. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mr. Walsingham was born December 7, 1927 in Wausau, FL son of the late Thomas Walsingham and Sarah Ann Stanley Justice. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WWII and later was a Barber where he owned a barber shop in Panama City, FL for 50 years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Lollis and great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Wright.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Lois Alice Williams Walsingham of Columbus, GA, daughters, Ann Kirkland (Donny) and Jan Grogan (Steve) all of Cataula, GA, brothers, Charles Andrew Walsingham of Jacksonville, FL, Ronnie Walsingham of Panama City, FL, Roy Walsingham (Ariel) and Tommy Walsingham (Wanda) all of Tennessee, sister, Martha Wallace of Tennessee, 3 grandchildren Stephanie Davidson (Jason), Alison Strok (Brian) and Kimberly Weicholz (Todd), 10 great-grandchildren, Trevor Wright (Tara), Kristen Wright, Nathan Wright (Lindsay), Gage Davidson, Justin Weicholz, Matthew Weicholz, Ashley Weicholz, Nicholas Strok, Emily Strok and Joshua Strok, and 1 great-great grandchild, Waylen Wright.
