Dallas "Buddy" R. Farmer, 86, Midland, GA died Monday, November 18, 2013 at his residence.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Farmer was born February 23, 1927 in Slocomb, AL, son of the late Arlie Edwin Farmer and Viola Kimbro Farmer. He worked in Medical supply in the civil service at MACH and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Slocomb, AL. He retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant serving in WWII.
Survivors include wife of almost 68 years; Annie Farmer, Midland, GA, daughters; Yolanda Farmer, Midland, GA, Terri Outlar (Jim Ellison), Columbus, GA, sons; Marlin Farmer (Mary Jane), Waverly, AL, Donnie Farmer, Box Springs, GA, Kenny Farmer, Columbus, GA, brother; James Earl Farmer, Ladonia, AL, sister; Mae Farmer Blount, Panama City, FL, 7 grandchildren; Anita Knighton, Emily Henderson, Julie Dixon, Paul Farmer, Kate Titus, Brett Farmer, Carson Outlar, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Columbus Hospice House and their staff.
