Dale M. Schiavone

Dale M. Schiavone, 85, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, June 18, 2022 peacefully at Piedmont Midtown.
Dale was born January 10, 1937 in Bemidji, MN, to the late Rocco and Harriett Schiavone. The family later moved to Minneapolis, MN where he attended the Minneapolis Public School system and later graduated from University of Minnesota. He worked for K-Mart as a manager for over 40 years which he won several awards for outstanding manager.
Dale enjoyed watching college sports, fishing with dear friends at St. George Island, FL, reading and loved working in the yard. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, Malcolm “Mac” Forte, IV.
He is survived by his partner, Sharon Griffith of Columbus, GA, children, Rocco Schiavone of Oxford, NC, Michelle Schiavone of Columbus, GA, Renee S. Forte of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Camden Schiavone of Durham, NC, Ben Forte and Clayton Forte both of Peachtree City, GA.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
