Cydney Louise Chalmers, 22, of Cataula, GA died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Mr. Michael Chalmers officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Cydney was born February 27, 1997 in Columbus, GA daughter of Charles Christopher "Chris" Chalmers and Angela Tieken Chalmers of Cataula, GA. She graduated from Harris County High School in 2015 and was a student at Columbus Technical College. She was also a member of the N.S.D.A.R. Cydney loved music, softball, the beach, camping, getting down and dirty riding ATV's and hanging out with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, John Tieken.
Survivors other than her parents include her twin brother, Austin Chalmers of Cataula, GA, sister, Madelynn Thomaston of Marietta, GA, paternal grandparents, Charles and Malinda Chalmers of Laurens, S.C., maternal grandparents, Richard and June Tieken of Columbus, GA and Marieliuse and Spencer Walker of Fortson, GA, aunt, September Witters (Stan) of Naples, FL, uncle, Michael Chalmers of Greenville, S.C., and numerous cousins and tons of friends.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Harris County 3938 Barnes Mill Rd. Hamilton, GA 31831.
