Curtis A. Jordan, Jr., 93, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Cryptside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2012 in the Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum Parkhill Cemetery with Chaplain Wayne Holloway officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Jordan was born August 4, 1919 in Americus, GA son of the late Curtis A. and Frances Vetes Jordan. He retired after 35 years as a postal worker with the United States Postal Service and was recognized in December with a 70 year pin for being the longest living postal worker in Columbus, GA. He was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Mt. Herman Masonic Lodge # 304, and the Columbus Shriners Club.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Karl Jordan and Keil Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hobby Jordan of Columbus, GA, two daughters, Gwen Myers (Jack) of Midland, GA, Patricia Hawkins (Mike) of Effingham, IL, one son, Curtis A. Jordan, III (Mona) of Warner Robins, GA, six grandchildren, Lisa Bowers, Randy Cowart, Shannon McClurg, Jeff Jordan, Julie Clark and Jason Jordan, and nine great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the following caregivers for their loving care over the past months for Mr. Jordan; Mattie, Stephanie, Geraldine, Cid, Tricia, Pam, Yolanda, and Valerie.
