Mrs. Cozette Owen, 93 of Cataula, GA died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 24, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Mike McBride officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P. M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Owen was born September 3, 1920 in Slocomb, AL the daughter of the late Tom and Mannie Lee Ezell. Mrs. Owen was employed for a number of years at Fieldcrest Mills and was a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God and Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Owen.
Survivors include her son Robert Earl Owen, Sr. of Cataula; daughter, Robbie Jean Burleson (Don) of Fortson, GA; three sisters, Verlan Wells, Juanita Meadows, and Tommie Railey all of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren, Ricky Burleson (Chris), Cindy Fussell (Joel), Robert Earl Owen, II, Cheryl Palmer (Mike), and Carol Owen.
