Cottie Beverly Slade, 75, of Atlanta, GA died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Emory University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Slade was born May 7, 1941 in Montgomery, AL daughter of the late Harry L. and Corrine Bryant Slade. She graduated from Columbus High School and then graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. Her parents were the owners of the Orange Bowl Diner on Broadway. Ms. Slade attended First Baptist Church. She worked as the Director of Human Resources for C&S Bank.
She loved traveling and seeing the world.
Survivors include her dearest friends, Ann Schwan (her late husband, Edward), Ann Crowder (Bill), Betsy Simmons (Jed), and John Schwan (Angie).
